ProRep Tortoise Life Substrate 10 Litre is part of the species-specific “Life” series, designed for Mediterranean, Russian, and other terrestrial tortoises. This professional blend of loam, soft sand, and limestone grit replicates the natural sandy soils of their habitats, encouraging digging, burrowing, and grazing behaviours. The inclusion of limestone provides a natural calcium source if ingested, while the balanced mix retains moisture without becoming waterlogged, creating a healthy and naturalistic environment.

• Mimics natural sandy-soil environments of Mediterranean and Russian tortoises
• Encourages digging and burrowing
• Contains limestone for added calcium if consumed
• Retains moisture to support local humidity without waterlogging
• Low dust and easy to maintain
Spread evenly across the enclosure floor to a depth of at least 5cm for juveniles and 15cm or more for adults, particularly Russian tortoises that burrow extensively. Areas can be lightly misted to create localised humidity zones while avoiding over-saturation. Spot clean daily, removing faeces and soiled substrate, and replace fully every two to three weeks. Combine with décor such as rocks, plants, or moss to provide enrichment and create a more natural habitat.

The Process

  1. Order the out of stock item.
  2. We will expedite getting the item in.
  3. Once your item is in we will send on to you. 

For orders with a mix of in stock and out of stock items, still works as above. 

Payment Scheme

 

Our payment scheme is done via Shop Pay. 

To pay for an order using Shop Pay Installments, a customer goes through the following steps:

  1. The customer adds items to their cart.
  2. The customer checks out using Shop Pay.
  3. The customer selects to pay in installments.
  4. The customer reviews all of the installment payment options that are available to them, and then chooses an option.
  5. The customer reviews their purchase, and then makes their first payment at checkout.

The remaining payments are automatically charged to the customer's card based on the payment schedule they choose. Customers get an email reminder before each payment is charged.
